Job description:

Noah is looking for an Underwriter to join our Home Advisory team. You’ll be responsible for underwriting the Noah financing transactions, and working with homeowners on a daily basis. You will work closely with the account managers and closers to ensure a high level of customer service. The position is a key role to qualify and approve our customers while reviewing their financial profile and transaction documents. You will also be required to explain the Noah financing solution, it’s benefits, and answer any questions they have.

What you’ll be working on as a Home Advisor at Noah:
  • Managing your leads, calendar and time efficiently to hit monthly/quarterly goals
  • Educating the homeowners on the Noah financing process and next steps
  • Leveraging Noah’s internal tools to price transactions for applicants
  • Conducting different aspects of underwriting including ordering and reviewing credit reports, income documents, tax forms, and home title report.
  • Analyzing and verifying property and financial data to create an approval recommendation
  • Reviewing and presenting credit exceptions to the underwriting team
  • Reviewing and approving home appraisal reports and follow up on any discrepancies.
  • Working with 3rd party companies to monitor the progress of key steps in underwriting
  • Maintaining a working knowledge of the company and investor guidelines and policies
  • Once a deal is priced, handing them over to the Home Advisory funding and closing team
Who we are looking for:
  • 2-4 years of underwriting experience at a real-estate loans, mortgage lending or consumer lending company
  • Possession of a thorough knowledge of mortgage, home equity loans, HELOCs lending regulations and procedures as well as a working knowledge of underwriting guidelines and loan documents.
  • Ability to manage a pipeline of deals at different stages of underwriting process
  • Strong analytical decision-making and problem-solving abilities
  • Strong ability to multitask and efficiently manage time in a fast paced environment
  • Prior experience with CRM tools and document your work on a daily basis
  • Experience with MS Excel, Gsuite and other Office tools
