Closing Servicing Associate

Job description:

Reporting to the Servicing or Closing Manager, Review, assist in preparation and recording, accurate timely submission and maintenance of all Closing Documentation. Both pre and post close.  This includes maintaining status and reporting of all physical and e-recording of all closing documents.  Working with custodians and title companies to resolve issues in recording as well as monitoring vendor’s document recording processes and participating  in the internal reporting processing regarding  the status of the recorded documents.

Who we are looking for:

Day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Receiving and reviewing physical Closing documents
  • Preparing packages for shipment to custodians
  • Receiving electronic and physical recorded documentation and final title policies
  • Reporting issues related to recording of all Closing documents
  • Working with title companies and other vendors involved in the recording process.
  • Following up for trailing documents
  • Working with custodians to resolve any exceptions
  • Responsible as the first point of contact for document related inquiries and questions as they arise.
  • Responding to emails related to servicing inquiries like payoffs, subordination and re-conveyance requests
  • Taking inbound calls and returning voicemails for servicing related homeowner inquiries.
  • Performing other duties as assigned by the Servicing Manager
  • Quarterly transaction reconciliations

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred

Skills:

  • Minimum 1-2 years’ experience in mortgage lending operations, and/or a demonstrated knowledge and understanding of mortgage lending operations and/or the mortgage loan life cycle
  • Loan Processing, Underwriting, Quality Assurance, or any combination of Loan Operations or Equity Investment Servicing experience is preferred
  • Strong organizational skills, with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Excellent time management and multi-tasking skills and ability to set goals, prioritize work and handle interruptions while maintaining focus on results and quality
  • Ability to identify and define problems, collect and evaluate data, draw valid conclusions, and make sound independent judgements and decisionsExcellent written and oral communication skills required
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills, including ability to ascertain and respond to the needs and objectives of customers, third-party providers, investors, custodians and Noah team members
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, customers and vendors
